The Exchange Park Palmetto Oasis preformed on the Parkway Stage once again! The fair raises money for Charities, Education and Community needs. The 2011 Fair awarded over $620,000 in grants and scholarships to more than 60 organizations in the Lowcountry! Palmetto Oasis is proud to be part of this endeavor again.
Saturday Oct. 20, 2012 - "Unveil a Cure" for breast cancer
Palmetto Oasis is very proud to have participated, once again, in the
Wannamaker County Park in North Charleston – Noon to 6pm we performed at 3pm! We celebrated the sights and sounds of the Latin world. Live Salsa and Merengue music filled the air while guests sampled authentic food and crafts with plenty of activities for families to enjoy.

Nasreen, Leela and Nadiya of Palmetto Oasis walked the 5k "Untying the Strings to Domestic Violence" at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. We felt this cause fit well with our Mission Statement below:
“To promote the ancient art of bellydance in a way that encourages women’s self-esteem and wellness, inspiring them to bring forth their creativity and passion for life.”

As a thank you to the amazing supportive folks at St. Andrews Family Fitness we were honored to perform at their annual holiday party. Our troupe director teaches a belly dance class at their Sam Rittenberg location and Palmetto Oasis is fortunate to hold our practices at their Sam Rittenberg location. Palmetto Oasis is very proud to participate, once again, in the Komen Lowcountry Walk for the Cure on Saturday, October 15, 2011. 25% of our proceeds throughout the year go to this very worthwhile event. Check our

Palmetto Oasis was thrilled to entertain at The 8th Annual 2009 CNN Circle of Light Gala – "Passage to India." This amazing event raises funds to prevent child sexual abuse for the Darkness to Light Foundation.
Also, during the month of October, Palmetto Oasis has joined with Mercato Restaurant on Market St. in downtown Charleston, SC to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness. Special menu items – the "Merca-Ta-Ta-Tini" and a Grilled "Pink" Pizza will be on the menu with proceedes donated to the cause! Eat. Drink. Support!
Mirabai taught Chinese silk fan fusion theory and technique, a series of basic fan technique and fan dance combinations, culminating in a gorgeous little choreography!!
Natalie taught a technique workshop here in Charleston on Sunday, March 30th. The workshop was held at St. Andrews Gym on Sam Rittenburg in West Ashley of Charleston, SC. Natalie covered oblique moves, taxim, sidewinders, and 3/4 shimmies.
